Research interests: My research interests are primarily in second language learning and classroom instruction of German, especially in the area of form-focused instruction and the use of technology in language instruction. I am also interested in German dialects and have done a limited amount of work investigating a variation of Pennsylvania German in Lyndon, Kansas.

Research and teaching interests: Schirin Kourehpaz is a multi-term lecturer at the University of Kansas, where she has taught since 2013. Her teaching and research interests include German language and culture at all levels, linguistic research in German, Farsi, and Azeri, analyzing German and Iranian exile writers, and creating corpus-based activities with technology and instructional media for German language classes.
